New Lawnbott Models

I was poking around the Lawbott.com site today, and there are 4 new models either out or coming out this year.  While I can't speak to how well they work, the styling is very retro - the LB200EL looks like it came from the set of Metropolis.

Yes, you are right!     Exciting new Lawnbott models are coming out in Spring of this year.  We will be updating our web site soon.  Here is a run-down on the new models:

-Upgraded LB75 with NEW "stuck sensor" and NEW TX-S1 Transmitter that is Compatible with **most** Invisible Fences.  GPS Capable, too! Up to 1/3 Acre Lot

-NEW LB85, similar to LB75 with NEW "stuck sensor" and much more range than LB75.  Includes NEW TX-S1 Transmitter that is compatible with **most** Invisible Fences.  Text Messaging Alert Option! GPS Capable! Up to 3/4 Acre Lot

- NEW BRUSHLESS LB200EL, similar to the current LB32XX except BRUSHLESS!  Sorry, it has the older technology transmitter and may not work with Invisible Fences; it would be risky to try it... Android Remote Control App!  Text Messaging Alert Option! GPS Capable!  Up to 1 Acre Lot

- NEW BRUSHLESS LB300EL, similar to the current LB35XX except BRUSHLESS!  Sorry, it has the older technology transmitter and may not work with Invisible Fences; it would be risky to try it...  Android Remote Control App!  Text Messaging Alert Option! GPS Capable! Up to 2 Acre Lot

(While Supplies Last)  It's a great opportunity to upgrade or get a spare Lawnbott at a cheap price!  Note, last year's brushless model is no longer on sale, however, you can buy the brushed model on sale and then buy the upgrade later to make it brushless...

I see that the 35xx can be upgraded with some of these 2014 options.  Is there a full list of what can be upgraded?   I saw that the Bluetooth board could be added.   Is the bluetooth app any good?  Anyone tried it?

Hi,

Thank you for your questions.  Yes, if you upgrade to brushless (LB3510/LB3550), all of the new options can also be added.  The list is on our web site - click "Lawnbott Sale" and navigate to LB3510/LB3550.  Please note, the price is incorrect at the moment because the manufacturer realized it is necessary to add two more batteries.  If you have LB3510, your robot becomes LB3550 for much faster mowing completion.  However, the cost is up to $650 more.  We don't know the price yet because our distributor is considering making a bundle price.

Here is the list of options:

• Bluetooth Module for Smartphone Remote (iPhone/Android)
• CUBE (for better hill performance)
• Text Messaging (requires cell plan, may not be available where you are - please request our fact sheet)
• GPS theft recovery (this one is available w/o the upgrade, too)

Right now the remote app just lets you turn on the robot and steer it left or right, however, they have plans to upgrade the app so you can program the menus from your smartphone.  Then you don't have to bend down to monkey with the menus.  Nice! 

The options are available as DIY with a shorter warranty so if they are out of budget for you, you can add them yourself later.

Update on the Brushless Upgrade for LB3510/LB3550:

The price is $1499.00 (double battery - LB3550) and $1199 (single battery - LB3510).  It includes:

- New Motherboard
- New Charger
- All New Brushless Motors (3 Motors)
- Free software update
- Additional New Battery (1 year warranty) (Large size for LB3550, small size for LB3510)
  Your old battery will be checked for good condition.  The new battery is added in parallel.
- New two year warranty on all replaced parts

Shipping cost is not included.  We will send you an electronic invoice for the return shipping cost once your robot is packed and weighed.

Please indicate if you want to purchase any of the new options at the time of your upgrade (Bluetooth Remote via Cell Phone, CUBE for better hill performance, Text Messaging Alerts and GPS On-Demand Locating).
