Does Anyone Care?
« on: June 11, 2012, 04:55:31 PM »
If you have been as flustered as I have sometimes been, you surely have wondered if anyone cared about your  problem.
I can truly tell you that Kyodo America has shown me that they do care.  They have always got back to me on my many e-mails and without hesitation shipped my Billie back to there shop to be put in proper running order.

I must tell you that last week I was most honored to have an unexpected visit from Mr Hideki Tsuji (Sales Manager of Kyodo America. He expressed apologies for the delay's in the repair of my Billie. (Billie is My Bott) I am very impressed as to their commitment in making this the best robot on the market...  Thank You Mr Hideki Tsuji Sales Manager of Kydo America.

Hey that is great news.  Someone is listing!!  Now all we have to do is get them to take a real good look at this and the old forum, if it's still available, for the suggestions everyone has submitted.  Just those alone would make their robot so good no one could touch it.  Just imagine what ideas are sitting on the back burner because no one has listen in the past.
The Sales Manager should also give Robot Lady a bonus as she has held the ship afloat for over a year now.  If she goes I can see the fleet sinking.

Hey shep874 - I'm very glad to hear that!

We've only had "moti" (an LB3210) working for a month, and we're loving him. But he dies on the wire when he's returning home to charge, and kyodo support has not been very forthcoming (although my dealer has been very supportive).

We're dedicated to making the solution work - but I know that if I had bought one of those bulky tractor mowers and called about a problem, I would have been able to find someone in the chain to support it. I guess I have to be patient... it's just that in my industry (computers) we're used to providing timely support.

You've restored my faith - thanks.

Hey  Moti

Dies on the wire returning to charger, that is a new one on me..

We now need to get Zucchetti Centro Sistemi, of Italy, to start paying attention to our problems. When I first started having problems, I wrote to both Kaydo and Zucchetti Centro Sistemi, of Italy and had no reply from either of them.  I think perhaps it went to the general mail and a clerk, that did not give a hoot put it into file x..  When I finely got some names in management and addressed my problems to them, I got prompt results.  My Dealer Paradise Robotics has been a big help but there is only so much a dealer can do.  For that matter  there is only so much that the distributor can do.  I have seen improvements   in the Bott and I am hoping  Zucchetti Centro Sistemi, of Italy starts to listen to the problems we are having. I would hope that they are feverishly working on the reliability and longevity,  They also need to work on the cost of repair parts.

In the mean time I have found a new friend and a corporation that has proven to me that they in fact care about the product they sell.

Funny ... Right after my post earlier today I received some email from Kyodo - so things are looking up.

Yes, moti runs out of battery while trying to get back to the charging station. Setting up 'long border' or 'blade off on return' didn't help. Funny thing is, the moment I put him back in the charging station, he can power on ok and still shows 2675 battery.

I think the forum might need an open 'suggestions' thread that we could constantly forward to the mfgr. I thank paradise robotics for maintaining this forum. Great source of info.

By chance is the mower running through the charging station and continuing on?  I'm just throwing out a suggestion. Perhaps the mower returns on the wire and keeps going through the charger and eventually the mower shuts down because it's not finding the station. When my charging station settled after a while (it was no longer level) I had the problem of of the mower not stopping when it got to the charging station, but I never had it die on the wire.

One other question, does it turn on before you put it in the charger? Or does it only turn on once you put it the charger?

We are highjacking this thread, perhaps a new thread should be started...

You're right Botman - let's not hijack.
Starting a new thread "Mower dies on the way home".
