Problem before the season even starts
« on: April 21, 2012, 01:39:42 PM »
I dusted off bubba this morning and have a problem already.
I power him up, he boots up fine, then i press start.
He then backs up 2 feet, stops, starts blade, then He spins until i stop him...
It is kind of like he mixed up the travel and spin modes. I believe he should spin, stop, start blade then travel.

I havent touched him all winter, so i do not think any wiring has changed. Last thing i did inside was change his blade motor last fall.

Any thoughts??
I have a call into kyodo already, waiting for tech support to get back to me.

Update...
I suck.
I remembered i changed the wheel motor brushes last fall, and i must have put the leads on backwards... Changed that and he works, but now i have issues with that wheel motor, i might have f$&@:; it up!
It spins, but using the motor test it registers "0".
Bad polarity might have just cost me a few hundred bucks for a new motor.

Robot lady has a new wheel motor being sent my way...
Hopefully i can get that swapped, and get Bubba back up and running before the grass consumes my house.

Hi, regarding your other problem, the robot is acting like the bump sensor is depressed.  Is there any chance the cover is on wrong and is causing the sensor to activate?  I think there is a bump sensor test in the service menu you can use if you can't figure it out.  Go into the test and then activate each sensor one at a time by moving the lid.
