will a bluetooth remote ever be available?
« on: April 18, 2010, 04:50:49 PM »
I was told that a Bluetooth remote was in the works.  Does anyone know if this is true?

Most of the advertising for the lawnbott includes mention of the bluetooth functionality, but as far as I know, no one in the US has been able to get this working because of the limitations that there are in the bluetooth in our cellphones.

It is correct that the Bluetooth function does not work on US cell phones.  Very unfortunate, but true and because wireless carriers control it, it is unlikely to change.  >:(    We were told a year ago that a handheld Bluetooth remote is in the works and when I asked how long it would take, they said about a year.   I will try to get an update and let you know.

any more info on this?

Is there a European cellphone that will work for this that I could find for cheap on ebay?  Has ANYONE gotten a cellphone to connect and control their lawnbott?  if so, please tell which model and how it worked.

thanks,

Yes, we had a phone from China that worked with the LB3500.  A Nokia phone from Europe also worked with the LB3500.  Our phone from China does not work with the LB3510, though.  We speculate we need new software and are trying to resolve it at this time.
