Replacement parts cost
« on: October 01, 2010, 07:07:00 AM »
Upon the return of my bott from KA, my Billie apparently did a wheelie and the front caster dropped off due to the keeper not being installed on the shaft.  Of course my Billie had to keep running until he found the wheel and began to chew on it.  I was astounded to learn that the cost of a replacement caster was $96.00.

Come on Lawnbott.. Casters at my local Ace Hardware store are only in the 5 to 30 dollar range.

You can bet that I will be looking for a matching conversion caster.

I am thinking that if Lawnbott ever gets a large number of Botts to American consumers, one could have a nice business by supplying replacement parts for the Bott at less than half the cost they are charging..

If you have a Tractor Supply in your area, they also have a nice selection of caster wheels. If I decide to bring my LB3500 back to life next year, that will be my first bet for new wheels.  I definitely do not want to pay the exorbitant price for a $5 wheel.
