3500/3510 zigzag while following border
« on: September 06, 2010, 09:31:46 AM »
When my 3510 follows the border either out to work or home from work it does not follow the wire in a straight line like the 3210 did, but zigs and zags like it is looking for the wire the whole time. It can go 5 inches on either side, which seems a lot. Not sure it is a big problem, but sometimes in one area it does go so far off the line that it finds itself 'out of border' and lives in the neighbors yard for the night.

Anyway, is the normal? Does your 3500/10 zig and zag like that too?

Hi, this zigzag motion is normal.  If you search for videos on YouTube, you can compare to other mowers.  I think you will find the motion to be similar.

Is that a 3510 "issue"?  As you can see in my video, I believe 5 inches would be a bit much.
