Using remote turned bot OFF
« on: September 25, 2011, 02:48:20 PM »
I have one small area along side the house that Junior seems to miss now and then.  With all of the rain it gets quite high so I just steer him to the area, press circle on the remote and in no time it's looking great.  Today every time I used the remote to steer him he shut down completely.  Restarted, tried again, and got the same results.  Has anyone had this happen to them???

A quick fix that I used was to tape a piece of wire to a stick to form a hook, then using the hook lifted his rear off the ground just far enough so  I could point him in the direction I wanted him to go.  Worked like a champ but having the 'circle' feature back would be great.

Seems like I'm buying a new bot one piece at a time......grrrr

Of course, you could sneak up behind him and press his enter button.

Yesterday I decided to retest the remote.  Everything works except 'right turn' which shuts him down completely.

Of course, you could sneak up behind him and press his enter button.

Am I missing something???? What do you mean by that?

He's saying, if you press the enter button on the back of the bot, it will cause a smart spiral.

Quote
G) ENTER: during operation, press this key to activate the spiral function. During programming,
press to confi rm and memorise the selection.

Thanks.  The remote now can cause him to spiral.  I wonder why he turns off when I hit the right turn button?  Oh well, the hook/stick I made works for getting him there.
