Touch-up paint colors?

Has anyone found a good standard automotive touch-up paint color for the red shell paint on the LB3210/50?

Good question.  A long time back some of the owners painted their bots but I don't remember them saying what paint they used.  I'm wondering if the new spray paints that they make for painting plastic would give you the nice shine.  My Junior is starting to get a dull finish after 7 years of running under the bushes.  Hmmm,  off to Home Depot... lol

I have experimented with repainting the cover. The issues I have seen are how to avoid scuffs and the paint coming off. If you have a yard where the robot doesn't run into anything or scrape against anything then you may be ok.

The paint I used was spray paint from the hardware store for plastic - I've used green paint as well as metallic colors (Indianapolis Colts blue).  I've also experimented with clear coats and lacquer to protect the paint finish - the one that worked the best was a clear coat designed for cars. The spray on clear coats were just too thin and didn't really give much protection against scuffs.

I also put some decals on the bot using waterproof decals. I covered them with the clear coat and they lasted about 2 seasons.  I purchased the paper online and then printed them out on my inkjet printer - one was a Colts logo and the the other was a sticker warning about the sharp blade since my original wore off.
