Trouble with perimeter wire connectors on charging station
« on: June 13, 2012, 01:03:09 AM »
I recently purchased my LB3210 (moti), and I noticed that I had issues getting the perimeter wire to make a good contact against the red and black spring clips that are attached to the base station. These connectors don't press hard, come apart if you apply too much pressure, and don't really hold the wire.

Has anyone else experienced problems with these connectors? If so, how have you handled this? If my lawnbott were out of warranty I would remove these connectors and replace them with screw-down binding posts. Curious as to what others have done.

You certainly will not void the Warranty by bypassing and just hard wire direct.  Just be sure that your connections are solid.  I would solder to make sure.  I have hard wired mine to a gang of switches so that I can have five separate zones.  The reason for this was constant loss of signal. I used more wire this way but less wire in use at any one time.. If I can be of any further help e-mail or call me.  815-835-5306. If you live close by Dixon, IL come visit..
