Closest two parallel perimeter wires can be?

Greetings All,
I am mulling getting two lawnbotts to manage my property - If I wanted to set it up so they both used the same channel (A), what is the closest the the perimeter wires can be from one another? I read somewhere if they are too close they cancel each other out? It would probably be better to wire the entire property with one signal generator + amplifier than two signal generators of the same channel (one for each robot/area)?
Thanks in advance!,
Bob

Note that to wire around a flower bed the going to and coming from wires are right next to each other, so they do cancel out the signals. When following the wire I have noticed that the bot weaves back and forth along the wire. It does about a 3-4 inch wide weave, we call that the drunken sailor weave. When putting a ‘boot’ across an area you don’t want the bot to cross the wires are kept about 12 inches apart. That can vary depending on the bot you own and how fast the bot can come to a compete halt.
Soooo, having said that I would say you would be safe in keeping the wires 6 inches apart. 12 inches would ensure that it doesn't escape to the other area. Since the blades cover at least half of that the strip between the wires should be cut when going to or from an area.
Hope that helps. Toolbelt

Hi, if you get two LawnBotts you should get one as Channel A and one as Channel B. Contact us, though, because we have a lot of knowledge about what the robots can do so if you work with us, we can probably save you a lot of money.
