I will ask KA to include an instructions sheet whenever they ship this motor.

Wow.. so not only are we beta testers of their hardware, but engineers and designers as well.  Makes you wonder if they even tried the new hardware!

I tried to ask Vishal, when he was still with the company

What? HUH?  Are you saying Vishal is no longer an employee of KA?

That's what I was told today when I called for
him too.

 ???
The last few times I emailed Vishal was copying hideki@kyodoamerica.com on all responses. Were they grooming a replacement or was Vishal already gone and just had someone checking their email?

Overall though ACK! Hopefully Vishal left for a better job and they didn't terminate Vishal in a business leaders brainy attempt to fix their product quality issue  ::)
Either way until proven otherwise it sucks for me the customer :-\

I don't know that the real story is with Vishal's departure, but regarding the collar, I agree, they should have been checked before the first one was sent out.  Given the timing, the first one may have been sent out after he was gone.  Nevertheless, KA has resolved the mowing height problem with the collar.  I had them send a collar to someone who experienced the problem and they do allow the correct mowing height now, but you do have to push up the motor from the bottom to obtain the full height.  So sorry for the trouble...  If you have one of the long ones and are unsure of trimming it, then request the collar from your dealer.

Quick update I received a new motor holder and it was shorter than my modified holder.  After installation I was able to raise my cutting height back to where it was before the new motor was installed.

hmm... I sent him an email a few weeks back and I got a response from Hideki Tsuji saying: "Vishal is not in the office..."  I just figured he was on vacation.  Hideki has been helpful.

I had a bad wheel motor, replaced it, then the power supply died, now I am getting blackouts.  They are sending a new transmitter, hopefully that will fix it.

I had just told someone that it was running great since the upgrade to the 3510, with no problems, then the motor died and its been down hill ever since.  The motor actually sheared off, I hope that is not a sign of problems with the bigger wheels.
