So my bott has been upset a bit lately and the newest thing I found might explain some of the excessive digging in and/or swerving when nothing is there which has been doing a pretty good job of tearing up my lawn and cutting up my wires.
As I was doing a quick blade change hoping that was the issue I found both front casters were very loose and wobbly in there mounts. The screws are tight and holding the axle firmly but they will both wobble back and forth and up and down on the axle. I took one off and found

The other side of the caster at least has a metal piece around but it still allows the axle to float a bit.
Is it designed this way and I never noticed or did some pieces of plastic on each one just decide to disintegrate and get lost?

And the message I received back from technical support is the 3510 caster/wheels "They are much more robust and have fewer issues. They are a bit bigger as well."
So for $$$ I too can have a front wheel that doesn't wobble and fall apart after <500 hours :-\
Oh well I guess it's time to go out in the 100 degree heat with my electric push mower and catchup on mowing my acre :'(

No longer under warranty? Well, I'm assuming you are going to figure out a work around? Since, a caster wheel costs what? $3 at home depot? If you do, please let us all know for our own information.

What and void my warranty? :-X
Edit: Didn't want to make a new post to bump it.. Caster not under warrantee. Other bot parts under warrantee. Original dealer out of business lawnbott directly offering no replacement. Soooo circumvented issue by upgrading which I really had to do for hot weather lawn survival.

If the wheels are under warranty and appear to be defective, you should be able to have them replaced at no charge. Contact your dealer, or if you are not getting satisfactory answers, you can contact Lawnbott directly. Send them the pictures and tell them about your problem. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. If the robot is still under warranty, it should be covered.
