Very recently my Lawnbott 3200's blade motor has gotten noticeably noisy. This ranges from a high squeal to a rubbing sound. I removed the blade and can verify that the noise follows the speed of the blade motor and is not blade related.
Does this mean it's time for a new motor?
Thanks.

If it's not already to late, sounds like you might need to replace the brushes that people have been talking about, but I could be wrong.
-
The noise is intermittent - you may be right (and it may not be too late).

Today I tried turning Robbie loose - he got about 10 feet with a perfectly quiet blade motor but suddenly it jammed up. He's getting an upgrade.
-
Upgrading the motor or the $800 full chassis + all three motors upgrade?
-
The full chassis + all motor upgrade. It's only money...

Robbie has been at robot camp for a whole week now and it looks like it'll be another week before he's back. I tried to tell the grass not to grow in his absence, but grass doesn't listen (and rust never sleeps). My lawn hasn't looked this shaggy in years.

Heck, if it was that easy, none of us would even have bots...

Robbie came back home today at 8:59 AM local time. It's reassembled and back in its charging bay until the grass dries out a little. During a quick test it was operating just fine with a new undercarriage.
