Title: Baggie your bump sensors
Post by: Modog on May 06, 2012, 10:54:19 PM
I have a 3/4 acre yard that Modog mows every day.  My yard is half grass and half weeds.  A few years ago, I got alot of bump errors.  I have even had them replaced.  Every since I put baggies over them to keep out the dust, a have NOT had a single bump error.  I know that the sponge caps are supposed to keep out the dust but they don't.  A couple of baggies and some duct tape keeps mine dust free.  I had a recent "No Signal" error and found a wire break.  What I did not realize is that you can have two line breaks at the same time.  I do wish they would tell you that WHEN you are installing your perimeter wire that a green light means a wire break.  They could also put that on the side of the transmitter!  I love the spikes on Modog's wheels but he has become a bulldozer at times, especially when you see him climbing the swing set leg.   Modog is a 2007 model that got upgraded 2 years ago.  The new wheel motors are much better and of higher quality than the original motors.  Keep posting.  I would love KA to invent a solar panel to put on top of Modog to make his mowing time longer.  Email me if you have done this or know how to do this!  I agree that I am too spoiled and too old to stop this Modog addiction.  Keep posting!
