I have had a few too many "out of border" errors in thepast few days... Maybe 6 in 3 days.
Is this coincidence, or something wrong?
Anyone have this symptom that turned into a real problem?

The only thing I can think of is that the sensor may be clogged up with grass. I think that happened a couple times on the other forum so you may want to do a search there if it's still around.

Thanks for the link...
It doesnt seem to be on a hill or anything, and it doesnt drive past the wire, it seems to stop slightly past the wire with the "out of border" error. I ve been watchin him a little more since i posted, and i think it might simply be the grooves he leaves in the grass.
When he is driving towards the border he has to cross over his perimeter tracks. When he approaches them he kinda bounces a bit since the grass is bumpy from him constantly driving the perimeter. I think these bounces throw him off and every now and again he goes just that little bit too far past the wire.
I have not had an error since my last post, but i think this fall i might have to top dress the perimter of the yard to fix his "grooves".

I would try shutting off and restarting the power supply, signal booster and filter. Essentially this reboots the power supply and resyncs the lawnmower. This has helped me in the past. I don't know if this is a placebo effect, but seems to help.

I will give it a try...
Ill let you know if i see a change...

I tend to have this issue in a few common areas. From my experience, it is more of a bump and go issue where my bot will keep going back and forth till it falls out of bounds.
Now.. you mention you have wheel ruts around your parameter? This is the first I have heard of anything like that. Have you had your bot a long time? Is your ground softer than most? Are your wheels very aggressive?
I have lines on the cement where the bot follows the parameter from the spikes on the outside, but you can't tell the difference from the parameter and any other part of my lawn for the most part. And I've had my LB3200 going for 5 seasons.

I also have wheel ruts around the parameter. Of course we have sandy soil so that accounts for it. When we have a heavy downpour of rain you don't see any standing water on the lawn it just drains away. I've had Junior since Nov of '06. The metal wheels didn't help at all as they could not get a purchase in the loose soil. Hmmm, anyone need a pair... cheap....???

Only had him for two years, but ground is soft.
"Ruts" is a strong word, they are more indentations in the grass around the entire perimiter.
The lower areas are bigger ruts simply because of more moisture.
I "reset" the system, and no change. Still getting "out of bounds" errors way too frequently.
Will try and get a hold of kyodo for more ideas.
Thanks

Kyodo figures it is either the reciever on Bubba or the charger...They are sending both out under warranty, hopefully they get here before it snows up here.....

Quick update...
Got a new reciever board from kyodo. (warranty)
Replaced old one and we are back in business. Not sure how, what, or why old one stopped working 100% of the time, but the new one got Bubba back and running.
Just in time to start packing him away for the long winter...

Thanks for the update. Glad you are up in running!
